Hello. I'm Speely Dan.

Okay, well, really, I'm Matt. Speely Dan is my DJ name. It can get confusing sometimes because one of my colleagues' name is Dan.

As you may have guessed, I'm a DJ. I'm also a classically-trained musician, fluent in saxophonics.

But I'm so much more than that, too.

I'm a geek. I'm a gamer. I'm a computer builder. I'm a racer. I'm a mechanic. I'm a network technician (amateur grade). I'm a romantic. I'm a stereotypical "nice guy" to the core. I'm chivalrous, silly, and usually have a "groaner" sense of humour. I prefer British spellings for things like Humour and Flavour and Colour. I'm a smoker. I'm not a drinker. I'm a left-leaning voter. I'm a cook. I'm a producer. I'm a composer.

And there's even more than that.

I'm 6 feet tall and I've never, but never, weighed more than 145. I try, I really do.

I take great delight in funny, silly, or cute cat movies. I also laugh hysterically every time I see one particular video of a Sousaphonist tripping a kid who had the temerity to run in front of him. Yes, I band geek occasionally.

I love birds. Wild birds, domesticated birds, almost all birds. I dream of one day sharing my home with a Sun Conure.

Occasionally, three friends and I go out into the middle of a field with a hill at one end, and unload a bunch of broken computer equipment. We then destroy the broken computer equipment. With firearms. It is a lot of geeky-stress-relieving fun, and I highly recommend it to anyone.
